"After high school, I attended Texas Tech for two years, but I worked and put my husband through and did not finish. John Taylor, class of 1965 Sunset, and I were married in 1968 and had our first baby girl in 1969. John was then sent to Vietnam. He arrived back safely and went to work for Arthur Andersen in Dallas. We then had a son.
"We have been married 45 years. We have lived all over the US. John traveled international and I sometimes went with him. We went to England, Ireland, France, Germany, Norway, South America, Australia, New Zealand. It has been a great ride. We now are both retired and live in Hilton Head, South Carolina. It is a great retirement place. Lots to do. We travel a lot and are having a great retirement. "We now have 5 grandchildren. The oldest attends Wake Forest on an academic scholarship.
