After attending Kimball, Kerry continued her education at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she graduated with a double major in Psychology and Physical Education. From there, she continued her education, attaining a Masters Degree in Counselling at Texas Womens University, and coached the tennis team while there.
"My first year out of TWU, I went to Old Dominion University to teach and coach tennis for a couple of years. I came back to Dallas and got into the restaurant business for 7 years. I also started a business with a college friend called "SpudSkins". This was a company that manufactured potato skins for restaurants in the Dallas/FtWorth area. We sold the business in 1985, and I went back into education. "In 1986, I went back to teaching psychology and coaching tennis at R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton. I became a counselor at Creekview High School about 5 years ago and absolutely love my job." |
