"After graduation I worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas for 6 months. I was married and moved to Del Rio for 2 1/2 years, then back to Dallas. Again, I began working at BCBSTX, and will have worked there for 37 years on April 1, 2006. I have one son, Clint, who will be 37 in August, 2006. I have two grandsons, Chase (12) and Colton (4).
"I remarried in 1989 to a wonderful man named Ron Reaves. We live at The Pinnacle Club on Cedar Creek Lake. I work in Richardson, so I drive about 150 miles round trip 5 days a week, and Ron works in Waco and drives about 170 miles round trip 5 days a week. It is worth it as we really love where we live. The golf course is across the street from our house and the lake is in our backyard. Summer time is the best with family and friends coming down on the weekends to ride jet skis and take boat rides. "Ron loves to play golf and I attempt to play. Although, I have just as much fun driving the golf cart and watching for the deer that live in our area. Ron and I both enjoy traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We try to spend two weeks there each summer. "We are fanatic UT Longhorn fans and are season ticket holders. On January 4, 2006, we were at the Rose Bowl and watched one of the most exciting games ever played. "I am looking forward to retirement, hopefully in two years. This will allow me to spend more time with my grandsons. Also, I am currently a member with the Pinnacle Women’s’ Club and retirement will allow me to do volunteer work with the club. I enjoy reading, walking, cooking, yard work, and in general the outdoors. "I have only made it to one reunion, which was the 20th, and I hope to attend the 40th." |
