After Mike escaped from High School on time and much to all his friend’s surprise, he went on to terrorize the campus of several well know colleges and sorority hot spots for the next several years until he was captured by the United States Marine Corps and was sentenced to 4 years of reality and a hard dose of real life. Learning such useful career building skills as running in formation with an M14 rifle, back pack, and full canteen for miles without rest, crawling through ditches under barb wire nets with live ammo overhead, and killing the enemy without a weapon, not even a pencil, Mike was finally attached to the Marine Air Wing where his ultimate dream come true, serving in the cockpit of the F4 Phantom Fighter Jet ...... fixing anything the pilot reported as broke.

When Mike returned to civilian life he took a more serious run at college and enrolled in The University of Texas at Dallas to complete his education and was hired by Southwestern Bell Telephone helping to implement the conversion of the national call center routing system to a computer control system. Eventually after finding a career in electronics and computer work secure and dependable but not personally satisfying, Mike became a self employed business owner working over the next 15 years in Real Estate, Insurance and Mortgage Financing. After some ups and downs, and a few hard knocks, in 1989 Mike settled into the Real Estate Finance business providing Real Estate Loans for both commercial and residential property. "This has been a good business and has allowed me to have some fun along the way. I have been fortunate enough to have members of my family work with me."

Mike lives in Carrollton, Texas and has been married to Lara Lea Bullington of Fort Worth since 1995. They have a daughter, Madeline, that attends Stephen F. Austin University majoring in Business Finance. Mike has a son Matthew, that graduated from Texas A&M and is a Vice President with Craig Hall Financial. Mike’s interest include riding his Harley Davis Motorcycle on local runs and cross country MC trips with friends and fellow members of the Harley Owners Group and his local American Legion Chapter. Mike’s personal email is nthogride@gmail.com.
