Patricia E. Maxwell, 1966 Pat Maxwell Haworth |
"After graduating from Kimball, I attended North Texas State University where I received my B.A. degree in History. I began teaching in the Duncanville ISD and Dallas ISD. During that time, I continued my graduate work at UNT. I received my M.ED in 1974.
"In 1972, I married a KHS 68 graduate Steven Haworth. We have been married ever since. Steve is a Oil & Gas Attorney in Dallas. We have lived in Lake Highlands since 1980. We have two children: Stacy Haworth Wilson who is in risk management and Neil Haworth who is a professional landman. Both are married. Stacy has one son, and Neil has a girl and a boy and one on the way. "I taught English in various districts throughout the state until the kids came and I retired to raise them. As they got older, I began substitute teaching. I started working part time as a lecturer and student teacher supervisor at The University of Texas at Dallas. I went back to teaching full time in 1998. I taught a year in Richardson. The final ten years I taught Government at Rowlett HS in the Garland ISD. "I retired from teaching in 2009. Since then, I have taken care of grand kids, read lots of books, traveled with my husband, and just kept it easy. Later this summer, I am going to try to do volunteer work at the George W. Bush Library. Hopefully, my years as a Government teacher and all around political wonk will assist me in landing some position with the organization. "I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the next reunion. You can contact me at pmhaw@aol.com, on Facebook, or at 214-923-3894." |
