"I graduated at Kimball HS in 1966 as Diane Lowry. I am now Diane Jones with a great husband, Billy. I graduated with an English degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, TX in 1969, and later received my Masters degree in Psychology and Education from Texas Woman's University in Denton in 1973.
"I was an English teacher for 30 years, and retired in 1999. My last 22 years were with the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in suburban Houston. I returned to North Texas - Mansfield - in 2000. I now do some substitute teaching, and stay busy as an officer in the Arlington Retired Teachers and V.President of the Mansfield Women's Club. I enjoy my retirement with playing bridge, canasta, and lots of other activites with friends. My husband and I enjoy traveling as much as possible. "I have a wonderful step-son who is a firefighter in Ft. Worth and a lovely daughter-in-law who is a nurse in Fort Worth. We are also blessed with a precious one-year-old granddaughter, Madison. "My husband travels quite a lot in his work, so we have enjoyed some traveling. I have especially enjoyed three trips to Europe that I have made over the years. "As to our future plans, we bought a 53 acre farm near Winnsboro in East Texas three years ago. We enjoy many weekends there, and we plan to retire there someday. It is a beautiful, quiet place, with many nice people and no traffic. I look forward to the class reunion which will be my first to attend. I really enjoy the website and birthday messages. I have reconnected with some old friends through it." |
