Jan ended up moving to Minnesota in 1968, and graduating from Mankato State College in 1970, with a B.S. degree in elementary education. After teaching school one year in a small town in Minnesota, she went on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ working with high school girls in Dallas for one year, and another year in Jackson, Mississippi.
It was in Jackson where Jan met Ed Wallace, and they married in 1973. Jan and Ed moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1977, and they raised their children in that area. During their years in Virginia, Jan taught third grade for 15 1/2 years. Jan has two sons and one daughter, all of whom live in the suburbs of Chicago. Jan's husband Ed died in 1998. In 2002, Jan married Don MacClary from Littleton, CO. This is her permanent home now! Jan is happy to have had her first grandchild on February 8, 2006....Caleb Edward Wallace! |
