Linda was born April 29, 1948, in All Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. This could be a clue to her personality (saint) if it were not for the fact that the hospital was torn down almost immediately after her birth. She moved to Amarillo with her parents until the age of 5 when they arrived in Oak Cliff, Texas to live on Engle Ave. (in the house in which her mom still resides). She went to Margaret B. Henderson Elementary School, then to Justin F. Kimball for the 7th and 8th grades, T. W. Browne Junior High for the 9th grade, and back to Kimball for the 10th thru the 12th grades.

In July of 1966 Linda began working in the mailroom of Mobil Oil Company and attended Southern Methodist University in the evening for three years receiving a Certificate in Office Administration. She worked for Mobil progressing through a number of positions and attending IPT Property Tax School at Texas A & M until in 1986 she became a Property Tax Accountant in the Tax Administration Department. She was married and divorced during that time and purchased a home in Oak Cliff close to Kimball. She also tried to satisfy her love of travel by traveling across the U. S. and Canada, making several trips to Europe and recently traveling to Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

Linda enjoys singing in the Chancel Choir at Rosemont Christian Church and in the Community Chorus at Mountain View College, working in and thru her church, being involved in the tutoring program of the DISD, and visiting her sister, brother-in-law, and two terrific nephews in Cypress, California.

At the end of 2000 with the merger of Exxon and Mobil, Linda took early retirement instead of transferring to Houston. The retirement was a little sooner than she had planned on so she took a few months off to recuperate after 34 years at Mobil and took care of some postponed projects at her house. Now with her "first" resume in hand, she is beginning the search for a job that will enable her to reach her real retirement age. So, if you know of anyone who needs a "relatively mature", responsible, dedicated, talented employee, just let her know. Linda's email address is lindakay1966@aol.com .
