"I attended Jeff Davis and Daniel Webster Elementary schools, Kimball and Browne Jr. High's and graduated from Kimball in 1966. Upon graduation, I went to the University of Texas at Arlington for a Bachelor Degree in Business, and then returned to school in 1992, for a Masters of Business Administration from LeTourneau University in Longview.
"In September of 1970, I was lucky enough to win the lottery (big number 31) and was drafted into the Army. I served as a crew chief and door gunner on UH-1 (Huey) and then as a crew chief on CH-47 (Chinook) helicopters. "On August 22, 1969, I was fortunate to marry Barbara Murrell, a graduate of Sunset High School. We have two daughters, Christy (37), Cathy (35), and three grandsons Chase (17) Preston (16) and Cameron (8). After 20 years in DeSoto, we moved to Coppell in 1996. "After 22 years in medical sales, primarily with Siemens, I retired in 1998. I am now the Assistant Director of Business Operations at Brookhaven College. Barbara, despite the handicap of graduating from Sunset, is a manager with Travelocity, an affiliate of the Sabre Holdings. Christy graduated from DeSoto High School in 1988, and Dallas Baptist University in 1993, with a degree in Nursing. Cathy graduated DeSoto High School in 1990, and attended the University of North Texas. She is an IT manager with Citi Group." |
