"In the summer of 1966, I married Jim Marsh (class of 64). This August, we will celebrate our 40th anniversary. We lived in Oak Cliff until 1972, when we moved to the North Dallas area. We now live in North Garland. I worked some outside the home, but mostly I have been a stay-at-home mom. In 1967, our son Brian was born. Brian now lives in Frisco with his wife Cassie and newborn daughter Beth. Brian is a Texas Tech Red Raider graduate. 1975 brought the arrival of our daughter Catherine. Cathy and husband Mark live in McKinney with daughters, Julia (5) and Emma (20 mo.). Catherine also attended Texas Tech for 2 years, but left to put her husband thru Texas A&M.
"Now I am a stay-at-home grandma with little time for anything else. Jim and I adore our 3 granddaughters. We enjoy the time we spend with our families and especially our 3 little granddaughters. In the past 6 years our parents have passed away. My only sister, Elizabeth (Kimball class of 70') Passed away 3 years ago. My world is truly now made up of my close family. Jim and I have enjoyed getting away to the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado when we can. Last year we vacationed in the San Juan Islands of Washington State enjoying the magnificent scenery. I enjoy the mountain trails, Jim enjoys going wherever there is a great golf course. The golf clubs always vacation with us. "In the early 70’s, I found out I had glaucoma. I had 3 glaucoma surgeries, then in 1976, an unsuccessful cornea transplant. For the past 30 years I have not had vision in my right eye. On Jan. 23, 2006, I had a second cornea transplant ...I can see again! In 6 months I will know just how much sight I have gained. The generous gift from an unnamed donor has brightened my world. I am truly blessed by the donor’s gift of sight. "My life has been a simple one made up of my family and many close friends. This wonderful web site has allowed me to hear from many friends of long ago. After almost 40 years I find we still have so much to share.
