Mike attended East Texas State University immediately after leaving Kimball. He was drafted into the Army before graduation and spent a long tour of duty in Alaska. During this time he married and had a daughter, Amy who now lives in Greenville, Texas with her husband and two daughters Anna (4) and Katharine (2).
Mike's parents also are living in Greenville. He returned to ETSU in 1972 and completed study for two degrees, a BA and an MPA. Since 1976, Mike has worked in Arena and Convention Center management. Between 1976 and 1993, he worked in Austin and Bell County, Texas. He and his wife Tammy met while in Bell County. They have a son, Landon, who is 16 years old. Tammy, Landon and Mike moved to Glen Rose, Texas in 1993, and began Dooley Management Company. Tammy works with Mike in public event facility management, food and beverage management, special events and consulting.  |
