After graduating from Kimball, Robert E. (Ed) Cliver attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1971 with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering. Ed retired in April 2014. Ed was a principal with the Estes, McClure & Associates firm in Tyler, TX. He is a licensed engineer. Estes McClure is a consulting engineering firm that designs HVAC, electrical, technology and plumbing systems for schools and colleges. Most of his work was in the DFW area. Ed married Jo Ann Duyka of Wharton, Texas in October of 1971. Jo Ann is a retired medical social worker for the Department of State Health Services that worked with special needs children and their families in the Tyler area. They have lived in Tyler, Texas since 1981.
Ed and Jo Ann have three children, Jennifer, James & John. Jennifer Shick after graduating from University of Houston married Robert Shick and has three sons, Robert Russell, Jr., Christopher and Andrew. She teaches in Ft. Bend ISD. James E. Cliver after graduating from Texas A & M married Christine Cojohn of New York. They have three sons, Michael, Aidan and Jack. James works in Boston, MA for AEW, a real estate investment firm. They live in Natick, MA. John R. Cliver lives in Houston. He is a graduate of Rice University with a BS degree in chemical engineering and has an MBA from the University of Texas-Austin. John is a licensed petroleum engineer employed by Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. in Houston. Ed and Jo Ann enjoy their six grandsons and traveling. |
