After graduating from Kimball, Linda moved to Austin and attended the University of Texas. She has lived in Austin ever since. In 1972, she married David Davis from Cleburne (who also moved to Austin for UT.) In 1975, Linda started working at the University of Texas and has been there ever since. She works for the newly reorganized School of Biological Sciences as the Executive Assistant for Services (you can visit Linda's biological sciences departmental web site at http://www.biosci.utexas.edu/people/bsstaff/ldavis/staffPage.htm.

In 1978, Dave and Linda had a son, Dylan, who now attends UT Arlington. David is a social worker, and both Linda and David are involved with several non-profit agencies in the Austin area. Linda has volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 14 years, and is on the board of a small local foundation. "I love cooking, traveling, camping, music and reading", muses Linda.
