Jackie attended East Texas State for 1 year after graduating from Kimball. "I wasn't too good at the school thing. My dad said he'd buy me a car if I'd come home and work. So I got a 67 green VW and went to work for Blue Cross downtown."

"Many of you know that I've not been lucky in the marriage department, until now. Thank God!!!!!" In 1978, Jackie moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico and opened a health food store, and later a plant and flower store. She sold both in 1987 and moved to Santa Fe. She returned to Texas and helped her family in their business in southlake: Sticks & Stones on Hwy. 114. "My dad and brother, Jerry, started sticks when I was at Kimball."

"Anyway, I finally got bored with helping out, and I opened another store. This time it was a gallery. Artists from Santa Fe and body products that could be scented with your favorite fragrance. I've done quite a lot of traveling. The most famous place and most special was to Greece and Egypt. The group we were with got special permission from the Antiquities Dept. To spend the night in the great pyramid. There were 18 of us. Shirley Maclaine was with our group. We had dinner together with the keeper of the pyramid and his family. It was unbelieveable."

"Remember Crystal Power? Well, after that experience, I took the crystals that we charged in the pyramid to other pyramids. One in Mexico (Palenque) and to some ruins in South America. We were trying to make it to Machu Pichu, but the country was having an uprising and would't let us in. Bummer!!!!!!! Next great trip was to Europe.....London, Paris, Monaco, Monti Carlo, and Amsterdam."

Jackie is now living in Fredericksburg, Texas with her wonderful husband, John. Her mom & dad bought 81 acres about 10 years ago. They talked Jackie and John into coming down to the Hill Country to take care of them in their old age. "They gave us 10 acres and John built us a beautiful home. His first!!!!! Not his last!!!! We have approx. 150 Adorable goats that keep our pasture and other areas clean. We're soon to get a llama to protect them. We also have an 11 year old golden retriever and 2 cats...... We're planning a trip to Hawaii, our second after the new year!!!! Can't wait!!!!!"
