Larry earned an A.A. (1968) and B.A. (1970) from Dallas Baptist College and an
M.A. from S.M.U. (1979). His book, "William Becknell, Father of the Santa Fe Trade" was published in 1982, by the press at U. T. El Paso. He is a fellow of the William P. Clements Center for Southwest Studies at S. M. U.
Larry have been adjunct instructor of history at Mountain View College since 1990, but his "day" job has been at the junior high level, where he is starting his 28th year. Larry taught Texas History for 25 years and began his third year as Assistant Principal at Waxahachie Junior High School in July, 2001. He is divorced and has a daughter Jenny, 27, who lives in Sydney, Australia, and a son Andrew, 25, a resident of Portland, Oregon. |
