Approximately a year after graduation I met my husband, Dan McKinney. We were married Sept. 2, 1967. We are still married after all these years.

They have one daughter, Tamara. She was married last year and will be graduating from college in May majoring in elementary education.

Dorothy worked at Sears the first year of graduating. Her husband went into the Navy for 4 years in 1968. "I spent all the time with him in San Diego when he was in port. When overseas I spent the time with my parents and his parents while working in Dallas at an insurance company. After that, we moved to Beaumont, Texas where he worked at Mobil Oil and I worked in the medical field. I also did volunteer work at the school that my daughter attended. Dan retired in Feb. 2002, so I did too. We then moved to Canton, Texas to live on the farm that I originally lived on before moving to Dallas in 1959.

"Retirement is great! We can sleep as late as we want and run the roads when we decided we want to go somewhere. Needless to say, we spend a lot of time in the Beaumont area with our daughter and son-in-law." Dorothy is looking forward to being grandparents one of these years, as their daughter puts it.
